à deux lumières, chaque candélabre composé d'une pie-grièche à tête rousse en porcelaine reposant sur une base rocaille ajourée en bronze doré d'où s'échappent deux bras de lumière décorés de branchages et fleurs en porcelaine polychromes ; (les bobèches probablement rapportées)

Condition
Illustration is accurate. Porcelain bird on the right with the wing restored. Minor marks and scratches on the feather of the other bird. Some chips to the flowers.
Gilt bronze bases with fine chasing and wear to the gilding. The nozzles, probably associated (gilding with a slightly different colour).

Catalogue Note
La paternité de ce modèle de pie, "zwei stehende Rebhünhner", réalisé en grandeur nature, revient à Johan Joachim Kaendler vers 1745-1750 ; il existe plusieurs exemples répertoriés, pour une paire de taille identique voir Sotheby's New York, le 16 octobre 1969, lot 238 tandis qu'une version de taille plus importante est illustrée dans R. Rückert, Meissener Porzellan, page 280, n° 1141.
