Description
- David Nash
- Totem
carved wood, probably satin birch
- height 232cm., 52in.
Provenance
Annely Juda Gallery, London, 1989, whence acquired by the present owner
Condition
In very good original condition. The crevice at the foot of the piece and various cracks running through the central segments are characteristics of the wood as selected by the artist, and do not seem to affect the overall stability of the work in any way.
An accumulation of dust and fluff has adhered to the rough hewn surfaces of the work and as such it could possibly benefit from a light surface clean.
