Condition

Overall very good original condition. All of the stools showing scattered scuffs, scratches, nicks, and dings. The stools with wooden legs show evidence of corrosion to the metal footrests and remnants of paint. The stools with metal bases with losses to paint and rubbing as seen in the catalogue illustration. One stools is slightly wobbly. With paint residue scattered throughout.

When Le Corbusier became the general consultant in charge of the development of the capitol buildings in Chandigarh, India, Pierre Jeanneret became the city's chief architect.  Jeanneret moved to Chandigarh, remaining until his death, and during his tenure there, he founded the College of Architecture.
