Condition
Overall in very good condition. There are approximately 8 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout the shade. The shade with surface soiling along the perimeter edges of the lead lines and in some of the recessed contours of the reticulated bronze overlays. The patinated bronze surfaces of the base with minimal gentle wear and minor rubbing to the patina. The patina on the base is a rich brown heightened in shades of russet and green. The shade arms with some minor surface scratches and abrasions to the patina. With period sockets and switches. One small screw is missing from a foot on the underbase. A strong early example displaying a well-varied and artistic glass selection. The color palette is very striking, and the large concentration of textured rippled glass imparts the shade with great depth and a wonderful aquatic sensibility.
