The canvas is not lined. There is a 5 cm vertical line of retouching running along the upper section of the left edge and two 4 cm vertical lines of retouching in the lower left quadrant. There are five scattered spots of retouching towards the centre of the bottom edge. There is also an intermittent line of retouching along the right edge and some scattered small lines of retouching running along the right edge of the right figure. Other than two small spots of retouching in the right of the composition, this work is in good condition.
