Condition
(This condition report has been provided courtesy of Mary Kearns Paper Conservation)
The paper is mounted on board. There are areas of paper separation from the board and pigment loss associated with the lifting. The paper mount is also slightly smaller than the paper itself and the overhang of paper is tearing and breaking. There are some small areas of flaking pigment as well. The paper will need to be removed from the board, patches where torn and touch up where necessary to blend pigment losses. A new mount is recommended to support the paper. Please note that there is a treatment proposal available for this item from Mary Kearns Paper Conservation.
