The canvas is unlined and loosely stretched. There is significant craquelure thought the work with some frame abrasions along the lower part of the right edge and some along the left edge. There seems so be some scattered mottling visible under UV light inspection. It is mostly visible around the figure's face and hand as well as across the white section on the lower part of the composition.
