The bird of paradise to a textured yellow gold body, the eye set with a circular-cut emerald, the wings and branch embellished respectively with brilliant-cut and marquise-shaped diamonds, the tail feathers set with calibré-cut rubies, mounted in yellow gold and platinum, signed Monture Cartier and indistinctly numbered, French assay and maker's marks.

Rubies well matched in colour, good saturation, some typical crystal inclusions, minor nicks and abrasion to facet junctions. Diamonds good brilliance. Patches of tarnish, especially to the beak, and scratches to gold consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
