Description

Comprising: a hinged bangle millegrain-set with calibré-cut rubies, sapphires and emeralds and single-cut diamonds, circumference approximately 160mm, circa 1905; a ring of plaque design, centring on a step-cut emerald within a surround millegrain-set with calibré-cut emeralds and diamonds, size 49; and two brooches, one of pierced geometric plaque design millegrain-set with calibré-cut emeralds, circular- and single-cut diamonds, the other of open work design with floral motifs, millegrain-set with step-cut emeralds, circular- and single-cut diamonds.

Condition

Bangle, circa 1905: Rubies, sapphires and emeralds well matched on the whole, some chipped, typical inclusions visible with magnification. Diamonds bright and lively. Secure clasp with safety catch. Ring: Emeralds a light yellowish green, medium saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible with magnification, well matched, small nicks to principal stone. Diamonds bright and lively. Evidence of resizing to band. Plaque Brooch: Emeralds vary in saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible with magnification, a few stones chipped. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 2.65 - 2.85 carats, bright, lively stones. Safety catch. Frame with scratches and indentations consistent with wear. Open work brooch: Emeralds a light green some small nicks, typical inclusions visible with magnification, well matched. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 5.25 - 5.50 carats, of mixed colours and clarities. Safety catch to pin. Collection in good condition.
