Description

Comprising: a ring centring on a circular-cut diamond, the shoulders highlighted with similarly cut stones, size 47 ½, together with a brooch of graduated annular design millegrain- collet-set with circular-cut diamonds.

Condition

Ring: Metal tested as 18 carat white gold. The diamond estimated to weigh approximately 4.75 carats, is in our experts' opinion H-I colour, I3 clarity due to a black inclusions partly hidden under a prong. Band with scratches consistent with wear. Brooch: Metal tested as platinum. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 4.50 - 5.00 carats, estimated colour I-K, estimated clarity VS-SI on average, few I. Safety catch to pin. Slight discolouration to the sides of collets, not visible when worn. Both pieces in good condition.

The von Meissner Foundation is an organisation which supports children who are mentally or physically handicapped or gravely ill. It also promotes medical research projects which will improve the quality of life of these children. It was founded in 1988 by Mrs Gertrude von Meissner, in memory of her late daughter Annette and her grandson Clas Richter. Since 2004, the foundation supports the medical faculties of the Universities of Geneva and Basel, for research on diseases affecting children.
