- Cartier, Paris
The case decorated with an open work floral medallion set with circular- and rose-cut diamonds, the squared guilloché enamel dial applied with black Roman numerals and blued steel moon-style hands within a gold and white enamel frame of scroll motif, dial signed Cartier, Paris; together with a fine chain collet-set with single- and circular-cut diamonds, length approximately 600mm.
Condition
Chain indistinctly numbered 4556. Mechanical movement not in running condition at the time of cataloguing, but please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee future working condition of watches. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 6.50 carats in total, mixed in colour and clarity. Minor scratches to white enamel and yellow gold. A stone is deficient on the winding crown of the watch. Crystal glass is cracked and chipped in one corner, dial slightly tarnished. Signs of wear commensurate with age, in overall good condition.
