Description
In the garland style, centring on a cushion-shaped aquamarine within an openwork scroll frame of millegrain-set circular-cut diamonds, suspending a similarly set pear-shaped aquamarine drop, to a necklace designed as two graduated lines of circular-cut diamonds accented with a pair of circular aquamarine links, signed Cartier Paris, length approximately 380mm.
Provenance
This parure was later purchased from Cartier, probably in 1930, by Demetrius Zaf𝓡iropulo, a greek jewellery amateur.
Thence by family descent.

Condition
French assay marks for platinum and gold. Aquamarine on necklace estimated to weigh approximately 41.82 carats, aquamarine on pendant estimated to weigh approximately 36.10 carats, well matched in colour, lively stones with good brilliance. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 32.21 carats in total, mixed in colour and clarity. Signs of normal wear commensurate with age. One rare and delicate piece of an impressive parure. Well preserved, in good condition.
