Description

Designed as a swallow in flight accented with a cabochon ruby eye, set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, mounted in silver and gold, detachable brooch fitting, case S.J.Phillips Ltd. 139, New Bond St. London, W.1.

Condition

Austro-Hungarian import hallmark for gold and silver AV (for Auslandsverkehr). Diamonds weight difficult to assess as stones are old cuts but estimated to be approximately 7.00 - 8.00 carats in total, mixed in colour and clarity. Looks as if it has been professionally cleaned. Tarnish and scratches to the metal commensurate with age and wear. In good condition.
