Catalogue Note
Bhau jewellers was founded in Bombay in 1864 by Narotamdas Bhau. The company soon flourished and catered to the most sophisticated clientele, including the princely courts of Jaipur, the Nawab Sah💯eb of Palanpur and many Maharajahs. So popular were the firm's designs that their most celebrated designer, Ambaji Shinde, went on to work for Harry Winston in New York. Still located in Bombay, today the firm is run by 5th generation brothers, Tushar and Jaidev Bhagat.
