Description
Centring on a stylised open work four clover leaf plaque, set with a step-cut emerald surrounded by princess-, brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds, the straps composed of thirty-four rows of seed pearls, mounted in white gold, length approximately 185mm, signed NB.
Condition
Stamped 750 for gold, maker's marks for NB. Seed pearls with creamy white bodycolour, well matched. Total diamond weight stated to be 4.19 carats in total, generally G-H colour, VS clarity. Emeralds stated to weigh 3.69 carats in total, with some typical inclusions (some reaching surface). Clasp secure, with safety catch. In very good condition.

Bhau jewellers was f✃ounded in Bombay in 1864 by Narotamdas Bhau. T✨he company soon flourished and catered to the most sophisticated clientele, including the princely courts of Jaipur, the Nawab Saheb of Palanpur and many Maharajahs. So popular were the firm's designs that their most celebrated designer, Ambaji Shinde, went on to work for Harry Winston in New York. Still located in Bombay, today the firm is run by 5th generation brothers, Tushar and Jaidev Bhagat.
