Description
- Van Cleef & Arpels
Comprising: four star-shaped clips highlighted with cabochon citrines, 1947, each signed Van Cleef & Arpels or V.C.A. and numbered, French assay and make's marks; and three clips, each designed as a bee, set with oval yellow sapphires, cabochon emeralds, and single-cut diamonds, 1948, all signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered, French assay and maker's marks, case.

Condition
Bee clips: Numbered 59.146, 59.147 and 59.148. Sapphires measuring approximately 12.70 x 8.50 x 6.14mm, 10.90 x 8.30 x 7.70mm (culet off-centre) and 10.70 x 6.50 x 5.20mm, estimated to weigh approximately 5.20, 5.50 and 2.80 carats respectively, medium colour saturation, some typical crystal inclusions (a few reaching surface), some abrasion to facet edges and minor nicks. Diamonds good brilliance. Signs of normal wear to the clips, scratches and minor tarnish to metal consistent age and with wear. In good condition.
Star clips: Numbered CS1134. Scratches to metal commensurate with age and wear. In good condition.
