With Daxer and Marschall, Munich, 2002.
Exhibited
Munich, Daxer and Marschall, Perception of nature. A selection of 18th and 19th century oil paintings and sketches, 2002, p. 14.
Condition
The canvas is unlined. The painting is in excellent condition, with no major damages or repairs nor any sign of wear. There has been some minor scratching on the left margin caused by movement in the frame. Only minor restoration is visible under ultra violet light, consisting of some minor repairs on the left margin and some repairs to the left most column of the temple, and some spot retouching to the fabric of the temple itself. The repair is invisible to the naked eye and the picture will not require further attention. The varnish is clear and even.
This lot is offered with the original(?) gilt wood frame frame with beaded sight edge, in good condition.
