Unexamined out of frame and under glass, the panel is in good condition, flat and even. There are no signs of retouching visible under ultraviolet light. Apart from scattered flecks of surface dirt, notably to the water at the far left and right, and some very light frame rubbing along the upper extreme left edge, this work is in very good original condition, with rich colours and a strong surface. Held in a decorative, faux-ebony moulded plaster and wood frame, with a narrow, gold-painted inner accent, under glass.
