Catalogue Note

"One day I ordered the letters of my name alphabetically. I realized that, for example, some vital and incredibly vast structures such as companies would collapse if small elements, such as the alphabetical order, were missing. [..] There was a double meaning in my work: reordering things, and after working on them again." (the artist cited in Exhibition Catalogue, Frankfurt am Main, Museum of Modern Art, Alighiero Boetti. Mettere al mondo il mondo, 1998, p. 51)
