See A.P. Kozloff, ed., Animals in Ancient Art from the Leo Mildenberg Collection, 1981, no. 55, pp. 67-69; the author discusses a bronze baboon, which she points out is "probably a Saite revival of a late New Kingdom style." Also see a closely related serpentine example in Berlin, inv. no. 3472.
