- A Persian Copper and Wood Hookah Cup with Polychrome Enamel and Gilt Decoration, Qajar

of flaring form, gilded and decorated in polychrome enamel with four medallions containing figures in European dress, comprising a youth holding a cup and parrot, two affectionate couples embracing, and a mother and child, finely painted floral motifs in the field, the wood stem intricately carved with birds and foliate designs.

acquired by the parents of the present owner in the 1960s
Condition
Repainting around edge of rim. Some minor cracking in enamel. Otherwise generally good.
