Description
of cylindrical form with a splayed base, the faceted shaft engraved with chevron bands and an arabesque of split and full palmettes, the neck with calligraphic cartouches flanked by quatrefoil medallions and bordered by scrolling palmette vines, the foot with pendant palmettes and further scrolling palmette vines, removable internal section

On the rim in Armenian: [Presented to] Labaninay son of Martiros in the year 1027
The date is in the Armenian era, which with the differential of 551 years results in a date of 1578 AD.
