Description

the hilt of pale grey green stone carved with scroll leaf quillons and floral rosette to grip, the pommel rendered in the form of a horse's head with flared nostrils, mane and flattened ears, the forte with gilt mount chased and engraved with a crescent flanked by floral roundels and down-turned hand guard with lion-head terminals, the narrow tapered blade with central recess, the leather scabbard with gilt metal mounts and suspension loops engraved with further floral roundels flanked by swags and scrolls

Condition

hilt in good condition, areas of pitting and patination to blade, wear and losses to the leather scabbard, would benefit from re-lining, as viewed
