cast in bronze, the muzzle in the form of a tiger's head, the chase with raised hatched mouldings, the cascable button with lotus bud and petal detailing
Condition
Good overall condition, minor darkening and nicks and scratches throughout, some discolouration on the underside of the cannon, as viewed.

This small replica of a full-sized Tipu cannon would have been used to mark the end of fasting during Ramadan and the start of the Eid festival. A similar miniature cannon was sold through these rooms 25 May 2005, lot 75.
