Description
- Gouche on Paper
gouache heightened with gold on paper, mounted on an album page, depicting an equestrian rider on the banks of a stream amid an empty landscape, the reverse with a sketch of the painting
Provenance
Presented to an Englishman by the Maharana of Udaipur in the late 1940s.
Condition
In overall fairly good condition, some flaking to the figure's right arm and robe hem, small patch of re-painting to lower left corner, otherwise gold and colours bright, album page with nibbles to corners, as viewed.
