Overall in very good condition. The shade with approximately 27 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. A few of the glass tiles along the lower border show very slight movement in the leading, but are stable. The shade with surface soiling around the perimeter borders of the lead lines. The patinated metal hardware shows surface wear, surface soiling and discoloration consistent with age and use. The outer perimeter border on the gilt metal ceiling cap is painted black, and there is wear and losses to the painted finish. The ceiling cap and chains are probably old replacements, but their patina work very nicely with the chandelier. A few slightly lighter-gauge link chains have been added to increase the drop of the chandelier. The socket cluster appears to be original, but three of the six sockets and pull chains appear to be replaced. The chandelier presents beautifully in person with great scale and a fully saturated range of colors.
