Condition
The canvas is not lined. There are some scattered specks of retouching to the centre of the upper left quadrant, one nailhead-sized spot to the top left corner, a 1 cm. sq. spot of retouching to the upper centre, a 1cm. line of retouching towards the lower right corner and some lines of retouching to the centre of the left edge to cover frame rubbing. All retouching is visible under UV light. Apart from a thick layer of varnish preventing the UV from fully penetrating and possibly covering older areas of restoration, this work is in overall good condition.
