Condition
The canvas is lined. There is a small area of retouching to the extreme upper edge at the top of the third bottle from the left. There are two pinhead-sized spots of retouching at the figure’s left ear and chest, a few tiny spots of retouching in the figure’s dress near her left hand, a small area of retouching towards the lower left corner and two very small areas of retouching in the second rack to the right. There are two further small spots of fluorescence, probably retouching to the upper edge, at the top of the pastry rack. All retouching is visible under the UV light. Apart from some light craquelure in areas and a pinhead-sized paint loss in the figure’s right eye, this work is in overall good condition.
