Condition

The canvas is not lined. There are small areas and specks of retouching at intervals along the edges, probably due to frame rubbing. There are three small spots of retouching, two to the right of the tree and one above the house in the bushes. There is a 4 by 4 cm area of scattered specks of retouching towards the lower left corner. All retouching is visible under UV light. Apart from small areas of fluorescence visible under UV light and probably due to an uneven varnish, this work is in good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate although the greens are much stronger and the reds are more subtle in the original than the catalogue illustration.
