Condition

The board is stable and there appear to be no signs of retouching visible under UV light. There are artist's pinholes to all four corners and to the centre of the upper and lower edges (visible in the catalogue illustration). Apart from a nailhead-sized paper loss to the upper left corner and a very small scratch to the surface towards the lower right edge, this work is in very good condition. Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the ocre tones are less red in the original.
