The artwork is in very good condition. All of the squares are accounted for. The painted panel and squares are in very good condition and the paint is tightly bound. The black painted background and white pinstripes are crisp and legible. Faint scuffs on the three large squares were noticed when viewed up close. The white section below the three large square displays minor soiling and several faint scuffs on the painted surface. Tiny white paint specks were observed on the bottom of the pinstriped panel predominately on the proper right side. The specks were found specifically on the bottom course of squares and the adjacent background. A superficial 2" diagonal scratch was found on the proper left top edge on the pinstriped panel above the set of two squares that are flush on the surface. A faint diagonal white scuff was noted on one of the two flush squares in the same location. The square with the scuff was the third down from the top. A ghosting of white paint was seen on the bottom edge of the pinstriped panel on the proper left side just above the large white square. The sides of the frame were moderately soiled with evidence of scuffs and fingerprints noticeable on the painted surface.
