Turquoise and diamond necklace, Cartier, 1950s

Description

Of bib design, set with oval and round cabochon turquoise enhanced with stylised foliate motifs set with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in yellow gold, length approximately 360mm, signed Cartier Paris and numbered, French assay and maker's marks.

Condition

Stamped with French assay marks for gold. Signed on clip and indistinctly numbered 05092. Turquoises typical colour, overall well matched, some slightly discoloured, a few stones with matrix visible at the back. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 15.00 - 16.00 carats, generally G-I colour, majority VS clarity, graded as far as yellow gold mounting permits. Signs of normal wear to the metal, minor scratches consistent with age. Secure clasp, with safety catch. In good condition.
