Description
The oval pink sapphire weighing 17.84 carats, flanked by half moon-shaped diamonds, mounted in platinum, size 51½.
Condition
Stamped PT 950 for platinum. Pink sapphire accompanied by C. Dunaigre Consulting report no. CDC 0909019 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Sapphire almost clean to the naked eye, some typical crystal inclusions, a few nicks to girdle and one small chip under one prong visible under close inspection. Diamonds stated to weigh 1.97 carats together. Hardly any signs of wear to the metal, minor scratches. In very good condition.
