Decorated at the front with a lozenge shaped dial respectively set and bordered with single- and brilliant-cut diamonds, the lugs decorated with marquise-shaped rubies and pear-shaped diamonds, to the  two-tone gold straps of basket weave design set with brilliant-cut stones, circumference approximately 155mm, Italian assay and maker's marks, dial signed Etoile, case signed Etoile Geneve Swiss and numbered, Swiss assay marks.

Condition

Ruby of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Stamped 750 for gold. Signed Etoile Geneve Swiss to the case, numbered B 41. Mechanical movement not in running condition at time of cataloguing, please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee future working condition of watches. Rubies well matched in colour, with typical crystal inclusions, minor nicks noticeable with the aid of a 10x lens. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 8.00 carats, G-H colour, VS-SI clarity. Normal signs of wear to the metal, scratches consistent with age. In good condition.
