Condition

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the abacus ring is of strong apple green colour with slightly cloudy texture, thickness and width approximately 2.40 x 4.01mm. The jadeite cabochons on brooch are of matching emerald green colour with minor white clouds, measuring approximately 9.24 to 9.56 and 3.20 to 3.78mm. All jadeites have medium to good transluency. The tumbled ruby on the jadeite brooch is SYNTHETIC, of strong red colour, with surface abrasions upon 10x check, weighing approximately 7.50 carats. Old-cut diamonds on this brooch are probably of J to K colours, SI clarity; some diamonds have surface chips, together weighing approximately 1.60 carats. Cabochon red spinel set on the ring is vivid red colour, included to naked eyes with surface reaching cracks. Other cabochon rubies set on the brooch and matching earrings are purplish red colour, translucent clarity with surface pits and cracks. Rubies on brooch weighing approximately 24.50 carats. Cultured pearl on the ring is of slightly button-shape, white colour with moderate surface blemishes, measuring approximately 13.38 x 12.06mm; two pearl drops on earrings are oblong to drop-shape, similar colour and quality to the pearl on ring, measuring approximately 10.68 x 12.28 and 10.50 x 12.01mm. The rubies on the earrings together weighing approximately 4.00 carats. Diamonds generally are about G to I colours, VS to SI clarity. Lady's wristwatch (not illustrated in catalogue) is gold-plated, NOT solid karat gold. The jadeite plaque (not illustrated) measures approximately 50.98 x 32.16 x 5.18mm. The red cabochon spinel weighing approximately 13.00 carats. Condition: This group of jewellery is offered without reserve. Vintage jewellery shows surface abrasions and scratches to the mounts. Slight discolouration to the metal on the jadeite and synthetic ruby brooch. Please note we do not guarantee watch movement, which is quartz movement, in running order at the moment. Overall, all pieces are in fair to good condition.
