ICY JADEITE AND DIAMOND 'BUDDHA' PENDANT

Description

  • Buddha approximately 53.70 x 50.90 x 14.88mm.
The translucent jadeite material of light celadon colour, carved as a laughing Buddha, suffused with intense green streaks, surmounted by a double hoop set with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in 18 karat blackened gold.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: Accompanied by Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory report stating that the jadeite is natural, 'A Jade'. Please refer to the report for details. The icy jadeite is of highly translucent celadon tone suffused with light apple green colour with streaks of deep emerald green. There are some natural cloud and white inclusions which are common in icy jadeites. The Buddha has a joyous expression. Of good thickness. Diamonds are probably of H-I colours, VS-SI clarity. Condition: In very good condition. This lot is to be sold without reserve.
