Description
- star ruby, star sapphire, diamond and platinum
Centring on a cabochon star ruby weighing 14.24 carats, surrounded by cabochon star rubies together weighing approximately 7.65 carats and cabochon star sapphires together weighing approximately 5.30 carats, embellished by brilliant-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 1.10 carats, mounted in platinum.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to GRS report, the star ruby in the centre is natural, of Ceylon origin, with no indication of thermal treatment. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, this star ruby is medium purplish red colour, displaying a centred and distinct six-ray asterism upon illumination. Other small star rubies are probably of Burmese origin, of similar quality and colour. Star sapphires are about medium, intense blue colour. All the smaller star rubies and sapphires are also unheated, natural gemstones. Upon illumination, all cabochon stones show distinct asterism, well complementing the principle star ruby. Diamonds are about H to I colours, VS clarity.
Condition: Platinum ring mount, in very good condition.
