Description
- platinum, jadeite, diamond, ruby, brooch
Set with a Qing Dynasty carved jadeite hairpin section of emerald green color, flanked on both ends by an asymmetrical motif, set throughout with rose-cut diamonds, carved cabochon rubies, and a cabochon ruby, signed Cartier, numbered 2919633.
Condition
The semi-translucent carved jade is an attractive medium-deep emerald green color with only slight variations in color distribution. The numerous rose-cut diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. 6 of the transparent, medium-deep purplish red cabochons are carved with flowerhead motifs; the small ruby set at the center is left uncarved, but bears a small cavity. Signed along the length of the gallery. In good condition.
