This work is in very good condition. There are two minor traces of soiling to the centre of the lower margin. No traces of retouching appear to be visible under UV light.

(...) Il progetto di Castellani è appunto di eliminare dal sistema dell'arte il mito della rappresentazione, e, la sua, è certo una esclusione radicale (...). Il rigore di Castellani non sta nella regolarità dei suoi rilievi nelle tele o nel nitore delle loro tinte unitarie ma nella decisione tutta ideologica a monte del non-rappresentare, nel rifiuto della cultura dell'icona come cultura dei sensi mercificati (...).
