Condition

Both canvases have strip linings. Both paint surfaces are secure, clean and in good condition retaining much of their original impasto. Inspection under UV light revealrs some minor scatterd retouchings in both and some more substantial strengthening to the tree on the left of the former. Offerd in matching gilt wood frames in good condition.

This pair of capricci is accompanied by the certificate of Professor Dario Succi endosring the attribution to the Master of the Langmatt Foundation Views. Professor Succi considers these to be mature works by the artist, datable circa 1760.
