Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been lined. PAINT SURFACE The painting appears to be in fairly good condition, with no loss of paint or apparent damage. There are faint signs of old visible retouching in the sky. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light reveals dense infilling to craquelure in the sky, as well as scattered retouching overall. The retouching is mostly minor, to old craquelure, though relatively extensive. FRAME Held in a gilded wooden frame.
