Catalogue Note
On a très peu d'informations sur André Raulin, sinon qu'il serait originaire du Nivernais et qu'il a copié un tableau de Caruelle d'Aligny peint en 1842 le Baptême du Christ, conservé d❀ans la Chapelle des fonts de l'église Saint Paul-Saint Louis à Paris. Il est possible qu🌜'il ait été élève de Caruelle d'Aligny, lui même né près de Nevers, qui a peint plusieurs vues de Grèce à la suite de son voyage dans ce pays en 1843-44.
