This print is in good condition. It is printed on single-weight semi-glossy paper. With a soft fold from the top to the bottom of the image on the left of the print. Original retouching in the image.

Catalogue Note

De 1925 à 1929, à la demande des revues Mexican Folkways et Forma, Tina Modotti documente le mouvement muraliste méxicain, principalement de Diego Rivera et Jose Clemente Orozco. Cette image fut probablement prise à l'occasion de l'un de ces reportages, peut être en 1928 pour illustrer un article de Jean Charlot dans Forma. L'Archivo Fotografico Manuel Toussaint de l'Université de México conserve un portrait d'Orozco par Tina Modotti, qui est à notre connaissance le seul autre connu. Dans la collection Brenner, seul les tirages de Tina Modotti sont au format 8 x 9 cm (tirage contact de son appareil Graflex dont nous savons qu'elle l'acquis en 1926).
