Tirage sur papier salé, contrecollé sur carton original d'époque. Signé Gustave le Gray et Mestral par Le Gray à l'encre noire en bas à gauche sur le tirage, avec le tampon à sec 'GUSTAVE LEGRAY.' et avec le numéro du négatif 562 en bas à droite. Tampon à sec sur le carton dans le coin supérieur droit. Au verso, titré Pont du Gard à l'encre en bas à gauche.
Salt paper print, flush-mounted on original card. Signed Gustave le Gray et Mestral in ink on the print, blindstamped 'GUSTAVE LEGRAY.' and numbered 562 on the negative. With blindstamp on the card at upper right. Inscribed Pont du Gard in ink on the reverse of the card near the lower edge towards the right.
Salt paper print, flush-mounted on original card. Signed Gustave le Gray et Mestral in ink on the print, blindstamped 'GUSTAVE LEGRAY.' and numbered 562 on the negative. The print is in excellent condition. Some light foxing on the card, not affecting the salt print.

La variante de cette prise de vue du Pont du Gard illustrée dans le catalogue de l'exposition Gustave Le Gray, 2002, se distingue stylistiquement par un ciel fortement retouché. Elle porte le 🧸numéro du négatif 561 et ne montre pas le tampon à sec de Gustave Le Gray. Les deux photographies furent prisent par Le Gray et Mestral dans le cadre de leurs voyages pour la Mission héliographique.
