Condition
All trimmed to the image.
Brewster, New York (foliage) - This negative print is lifting slightly at the left edge from the mount. Visible upon close examination in the lower portion of the image are a small surface scratch and indentation, neither of which breaks the emulsion. There are 2 faint 3-inch abrasions to the top paper ply in the upper margin of the mount. The annotations on the reverse of the mount are: Print No. '434,' Box No. 'ML-1,' and 'PC. 434.' There is fingerprint soiling on the reverse of the mount.
Fungus, Ipswich, Massachusetts - Upon close examination, there is a small loss of emulsion along the upper edge of the image and faint surface scratches and scuffs that do not break the emulsion. This print is mounted to thick cream-colored board. There is graphite-colored soiling on the front of and reverse of the mount. The annotations on the reverse of the mount are: Print No. '462' and Box No. 'ML-1.'
Icy River, Redding, CT - The print, trimmed to the image, is bumped at the periphery, with a small emulsion loss along the lower right edge. There are small surface scratches that do not break the emulsion. The signature in pencil on the mount is very faint, and the date is nearly invisible. The mount is generally clean, but there are light rust-colored fingerprints along the lower mount edge. There are graphite marks on the reverse of the mount. The annotations on the reverse of the mount are: Print No. '594' and '55 P/N.'
Tree with Lichen and Rock - Upon close examination, tiny deposits of original retouching are visible in the upper portion of the image. There is a small emulsion loss along the upper right edge of the image. There are stray graphite marks on the reverse of the mount. The annotations on the reverse of the mount are: Print No. '552' and Box No. 'ML-1.'
Cloisters, New York - There are a few stray fingerprints on the front and reverse of the mount. The annotations on the reverse of the mount are: Print No. '449' (three times) and Box No. 'ML-1.'
