Condition

Plates 4 ('Moon and Clouds, Northern California') and 5 ('Forest and Stream, Northern California') are lacking. 1. 'Pinnacles, Alabama Hills, Owens Valley, California, 1945' - In the lower and upper right mount corners are remnants of cloth tape. 2. 'Mudhills, Arizona, 1947' 3. 'Lone Pine Peak, Sierra Nevada, California, c. 1960' - Near the upper left corner of the image an eraser-head-sized mounting bubble is visible. 6. 'Petroglyphs, Monument Valley, Utah, 1958' - In high raking light, a few small raised areas are visible in the upper right quadrant of the print. There is a stray graphite mark on the reverse of the mount. 7. 'The Black Sun, Tungsten Hills, Owens Valley, California, 1939' - The 1/2 inch area around the print on the mount is lightly yellowed. The upper mount edge is slightly darkened. 8. 'Woman Behind Screen Door, Independence, California, 1944' - There is a small emulsion loss along the lower left print edge. 9. 'White Stump, Sierra Nevada, California, 1936' - The 1/2-inch area around the print on the mount is lightly yellowed. In the upper and lower mount corners, there are cloth tape remnants. 10. 'Pipes and Gauges, West Virginia, 1939' - In high raking light, a small mounting disturbance is visible in the lower right corner of the print. On the reverse of the mount, there are stray graphite marks and fingerprints.
