'White Post and Spandrel, Columbia, California' - There is fingerprint soiling on the front and reverse of the mount. 'Alders, Prairie Creek Beach, Northern California' - Visible in raking light are the following: in the lower left corner of the print is a 1½-inch diagonal surface scratch that does not appear to break the emulsion; and a small crease in the upper left portion of the image, which also does not appear to break the emulsion. The lower left corner of the mount is bent. On the reverse of the mount, there are fingerprints and some minor soiling. 'Fresh Snow, Yosemite Valley, California' - In raking light, there appears to be a raised area between the print and the mount in the upper right corner of the image. On the mount, the ½-inch area around the print is lightly yellowed. On the reverse of the mount, there are areas where the top ply is abraded. There are also a few stray marks of indeterminate soiling. 'Gottardo Piazzoni in his Studio, San Francisco, California' - In the left central portion of the image, there are 3 small areas of light surface scratches; these do not appear to break the emulsion but are visible. On the reverse of the mount, there is minor soiling in the corners. There is extensive soiling and water staining on the folio, particularly along the spine and along the edges.
