This striking early print, on double-weight paper with a semi-glossy surface, is in generally good to very good condition. A ½-inch raised area is visible in the lower left quadrant of the print, near the sitter's leg. Upon close examination, small areas of original retouching are visible near the sitter's head, as well as tiny matte droplets of indeterminate nature in the lower left quadrant of the image. There is occasional wear at the edges and the corners are lightly bumped. There is a ¼-inch thin piece of paper adhered to the upper right margin edge. On the reverse of the print is light graphite-colored soiling and rust-colored liquid droplets along the periphery.
