The inscription by the photographer reads: 'Box 491, Nairobi, en route to Tsavo, Kenya, for The End of the Game and Longing for Darkness (with intro by J. K. O.), HBJ '75.' The collage elements comprise one Peter Beard photograph of a live elephant and 7 of elephant carcasses. This print, which has not been viewed out of the frame in which it was purchased, appears to be in generally excellent condition. On the reverse of the frame, there is a Fahey/Klein Gallery. Los Angeles, label and a photocopy of the Peter Beard studio stamp that is presumably on the reverse of the print, indicating that this print was made in March 2004 and is inventory number 3400.
