Condition

These prints are in generally excellent condition except where noted. The mounts are numbered in an unknown hand in ink in the corners. The plates are as follows: 'Monolith, The Face of Half Dome' - In raking light in the lower portion of the image in the mountain, there are 2 pin-point-sized impressions and a small surface scratch, none of which appear to break the emulsion. 'Merced River, Cliffs of Cathedral Rocks, Autumn' 'Lower Yosemite Fall' 'Trees and Snow' 'Branches in Snow' 'El Capitan Sunrise' - Upon close examination in raking light, there are a few small surface scratches that do not appear to break the emulsion in the center of the print in the sky and mountain areas. 'Tenaya Creek, Spring Rain' - Visible upon close examination are the following: several pin-point-sized surface impressions in the lower right corner and the upper middle portion of the print that do not appear to break the emulsion. 'Water and Foam' 'Winter Storm' 'Dogwood Blossoms' - Upon close examination, there is a tiny matte, opaque deposit of indeterminate nature in the upper left quadrant of the image. 'Grass and Pool' 'Nevada Fall, Rainbow' 'Rushing Water, Merced River' - Visible upon close examination is a small diagonal crease in the upper right quadrant of the print, which likely occurred during or prior to drymounting. 'Bridalveil Fall' - Visible upon close examination are the following: a small surface scratch that appears to break the emulsion in sky in the upper portion of the print; and a ½-inch diagonal crease that does not appear to break the emulsion along the lower right edge of the print. 'Trees and Cliffs' - There is a small crescent-shaped crease in the upper left quadrant of the print, which likely occurred during drymounting. 'Half Dome, Thunder Cloud' One of the duplicate titles/plate list/colophons is lightly age-darkened and there is a fingerprint in its upper right corner. The green cloth portfolio is in generally excellent condition.
